School teaches people to memorize a few things, and then regurgitate it next Friday. You are deemed as intelligent as you can take stuff in and spit it back out. But what if you were graded on how you could take stuff in, process it for yourself, and then make your own ideas?

to condemn other people's use of free speech. Quite sad really. People are far too short sighted quite frankly, about just about everything. I think a big part of it is schooling. School doesn't teach people how to think or be educated.

basically can only benefit society and can only hurt an oppressive group of people. Yet it seems like the people that are most against free speech, are the ones that are the most in need of it. And in fact often times, quite ironically, they are using their right to free speech

Sure if you don't like something, that would be convenient if someone didn't say it. But how does that approach to life scale? It doesn't. You don't need free speech to say what oppressive people like, you need it to say what they don't like. Free speech is something that

I think we need people in America, and globally, to be more of systems and long term thinkers. For example free speech, something that I thought people would never ever have problems understanding, is seemingly under attack within the last few years.

Sadly it seems that the political groups that would like to see healthcare for everyone are also driving policies that, in my opinion, make the ratio of doctors to non doctors worse.

The cost is unfortunately just a product of this harsh reality. So I think the only way to truly solve healthcare in America is by changing the ratio of doctors to non doctors. I know a few ways to make that ratio better, and I know a few ways to make it worse.

Which makes me think that the problems we have with access to healthcare aren't around affordability, but rather the fact that there are only so many doctors in the US and over 300 million people. How many people from your HS are now doctors? Ratio isn't that great..

I would love to see a nation where everyone has access to healthcare. What I am worried of is that; is there really any law or policy that could actually make that happen? When I go to the doctors office, I don't ever see any doctors just sitting around not working.

Really it's a sad commentary for what we see to do, but ultimately I think it boils down to two fundamental problems in the American political system; 1) The fact that we live in a republic, rather than a democracy. 2) The lack of intelligence and self thought among society

Now these numbers are hypothetical, but you get the point. The republic system that we live in has made it so people will do and say whatever it takes to get that vote. Politicians, many of them, are more caught up in the pursuit of election rather than making things better.

and 1 doctor can only serve 75 people. Then there is no policy or law that can deliver healthcare to 100 people. The doctor can only serve 75 people. So any legislative change isn't going to improve healthcare in fact it could only make add bureaucracy and make it less efficient

One thing I have seen in recent times is that idea that "politics can solve everything" - when in reality that's not the case. People have taken factual realities and turned them into political weapons. For example if there is 1 doctor for every 100 people

So I have concerns regarding anything that detracts from self sufficiency. Not because we can't afford it with our current population set, but because of how these policies will change the types of people that we attract to the country. And effectively if the ratio of

But with this truth comes wide reaching implications regarding our domestic policies. That which we are, we attract. So if we promote individual liberty; we attract people who are that. If we promote self sufficiency; we attract people who are that. The inverse is also true

What's interesting about America is the people here. Inherently these people are, or have come from, a group of people that left their origin country to pursue something that America has. Whether that's freedom, etc. I actually think this is one of the most important things.

All things considered, America is a pretty great country. In some ways it's unmatchable. But to continue and improve this greatness, I still think there are a lot of things that will require fighting for to retain - and some things that will require fighting for to change.
