  2. Can't wait for the coming week, in which we all obsess over who has the best chance of beating the guy who just congratulated the great state of Kansas.

  3. At the risk of saying something stupidly obvious...The Trump ad wasn't about "criminal justice reform." It was about him. We can support people's freedom while also knowing this.

  5. I dunno what's happening with this football game but last night I was at a sporting event sitting in front of a man who spent 3 hours in a belligerent RAGE over his team's poor performance. It sucked! So shoutout to grownups who work on their anger issues & know how to lose

Setting aside the strong innocence claim for a minute, Klobuchar used 7 snitch witnesses to send a child to prison for life. And then spent the next two decades bragging about the case. This is how prosecutors have been operating for decades – punitiveness without a conscience.

Anyway I’m thinking of that now bc Nigeria, one of the newly banned countries, is being described as bringing successful, hard-working immigrants to the US, and while I understand the sentiment, that really is not the point.

A thing I think about a lot is when that piece came out about Tucker Carlson saying racist shit about immigrants polluting the Potomac and a bunch of people were like FACT CHECK, the Potomac is cleaner than ever

I’m the last to demand outraged opinions on everything that happens on here, but it really feels like more ppl are freaking out over the booing Hillary thing than the expanded Muslim ban and it is frankly making me lose my fucking mind

Uche Chinwuba, a nurse, married her Nigerian husband last year & has been waiting for him to be able to join her in Houston. Now she doesn't know if he'll be able to come at all. The ban on immigrants from 6 mostly Muslim, African countries starts Feb. 22

This administration continues to push forward policies that disproportionately targets Muslims and people of color. This Muslim Ban is no exception. As a Nigerian-American who has called this country home for almost thirty years, I feel discriminated against by my own government.

When and I went to Denver to report on this last year, the resentment and bitterness over the last failed abolition effort was INTENSE. An important, overdue win for anti-death penalty activists in the region.
