    Most people don't live on this website. Most critical conversations about this are happening out in the world. Interactions on social media certainly impact people’s attitudes (and fuel polarization) but fighting all day on Twitter is doing absolutely nothing to save lives.

    People are dying awful, preventable deaths from this virus every day in TN. Friends have urged loved ones to get vaccinated, using care and compassion, only to get YouTube links peddling disinformation in return. It's a deadly problem, much bigger than people being snarky online.

    Speaks volumes about the power of the law and order vote that a year after the largest civil rights protests in history, the Democrats unanimously aligned themselves with the guy who ran to the right of Jeff Sessions. On a vote that was purely symbolic.

    Tennessee reports 41 more COVID-19 deaths today, the worst single-day death toll since March 24. The state's weekly positivity rate is now 16%+, the highest since mid-January, back when the outbreak was very bad. Get vaccinated. Please. We can stop this.
