  11. As Chair of my view on today’s rail fare rise. A kick in the teeth - especially for the 1 in 5 who suffered chaos following the May timetable changes. Disappointing that Govt Ministers haven’t acted on our recommendation & acted to protect them from today’s rise.

  14. 2/2 No planned session but obviously questions about wisdom of awarding contract to a company with no proven track-record, operating out of a port that hasn’t been used for cross-channel operations since 2013 & can’t accommodate large cross-channel ferries

  19. “the state of Britain’s buses receives scant political attention”. Scant attention from national media too but inquiry into the health of the bus market has been well-covered by regional media in our visits to Leicester & Bristol. P.S. Not only a rural issue.
