Here is the thing we as a people are far more nuanced than back in her day. Most of us get there are things more effective at reducing abortions than simply banning them, that some times there are situations where, as loathsome as abortion is, it's medically & morally a better.

To be fair that is not to say abortion's a good thing, it is more an indictment of how bad the alternatives can be at times. Most women who have lost a child to abortion or miscarriage have agonized over it more than us, We need to make better alternatives more feasible
