What’s happening in America right now is what happens in a failed state. The U.S. is a failed state. Now the imperial national security state is going to flex at home like never before. I spent the last decade of my life trying to spread the word to avoid this, but here we are.

To paraphrase Paul Craig Roberts, in a failed state, the criminals are all inside the govt operating against the people, whereas in a normal state, the criminals are on the outside of the govt, operating against it.

In the end it almost seems: A.) The government doesn't use enough force, the public turns against protesters for causing chaos & asks for martial law B.) The security state becomes more intense to stop or prevent the chaos & the public blames the protesters for the martial law
