Whenever I give an interview on the subject (and there was a lot yesterday), I always try to remind the producers of this before we go live and get scripts changed. I don't always get the chance, and they don't always listen, but every little helps.

3) It was an observation towards the media. Everyone who is getting cross and raging about this, who isn't in a position of having lots of readers... I'm not demanding that you change your language.

4a) Manned doesn't offend me and I understand it means the same thing. That's not the point. I have made my career choices and I'm doing OK in it.

4b) This is about unconcious bias in society, the media being a position to be more inclusive and set an example and helping young people to see that their life choices aren't constrainted by labels that society puts on them.

I assume that by crew you mean everybody involved. Not just those on board the actual craft. Because some one is bound to say that it was “manned” because the onboard crew were both men.

No it's crewed. Spacecraft are not exclusively crewed by men, they can be crewed by humans of all genders.
