Today in the House of Lords we voted for an amendment to the Trade Bill that protects our high standards of animal welfare and environmental protection in future trade deals.
That amendment passed 290-274.

The Tories refuse to support these protections, risking future trade deals that could allow food imports that fail to meet the UK’s high standards. It's a mess and our farmers deserve better. Liberal Democrats will keep fighting for British farmers. [3/3]pic.twitter.com/ueRby4b835
