This delay to the furlough extension will have cost businesses and individuals an untold amount as they were left in uncertainty. The furlough scheme must remain in place until June 2021 if Ministers are to support all those in need.pic.twitter.com/tF7HBUdQdU

And if they say June you’ll say October. Be happy there’s some certainty. And actually come up with some opposition, rather than “What you said but more” all the time.

The only way furlough should be extended if those receiving it have to pay it back, so it's a loan to tide them over. That's the truth anyway but I'm sure they would be far less keen to sit at home if they had plain sight of the truth.

Has everyone lost the plot!!!! Libs - June Cons- March SNP - Probably April. Extended furlough puts the economy on freeze. A chosen few will survive but many will have no jobs to go back to. How about get test and trace right and make masks compulsory outside your home.

Surely 2022 would be better ? Any advance on that ? Plenty of free money available.

The Wiltshire-based school I work in has had a "stand up, mask up" regime for the students since September. I'm surprised it's only now becoming a requirement everywhere (except in classrooms).

Try speaking up for the 2.9 million taxpayers who have received £0 support. We want #paritynotcharity nor debts. It is our money and @RishiSunak has proved himself a #ToryShambles his actions are against our right and people are dying. This has to stop now.

I agree with a lot of LibDems but not on the furlough. The money needs to go to the ones that have had nothing.

Those in need also include the #forgottenltd who are trying their hardest to survive... on very little or no income. The scheme does not need extending - we need a viable way to get back to work - we need effective track and track, we need vaccines and we quick screening tests
