I had no idea that in the long term, the original act had so many potentially worrying consequences! I had sleep-walked into seeing that it would be necessary to change the scope of this act as soon as we were clear of the worst ravages of the Covid19 pandemic. This is a folly.

I'm pretty sure Scotland supports the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Not sure what your point is here. Far too many people trying to divide us along simplistic tribal lines. Scottish independence (which I support) not relevant to this.

I assumed that the Act was necessary for the pandemic and would cease to have effect after the emergency had passed. I now wonder whether I put too much faith in the UK government doing the right thing
