Federalism & making decisions at the local level for local people is at the heart of what we as liberals believe in. It is in the DNA of our Party. That's why today we have reaffirmed our commitment to a federal UK and broader political reform #LDconf🔶https://www.libdems.org.uk/a20-federal-uk

Where does England fit into this? The problem has always been that England has no political identity, but is too dominant within the Union. And there's no appetite to carve England up into separately-administered 'regions'...

Quite. To create a federal state of 'the nations and regions' they'd have to give the regions of England the same powers as the Scottish parliament. There is little demand for that but there is demand for an English parliament with power devolved from that to county/city level.pic.twitter.com/IzG6HNWvo3

But still no plan to actually impliment federalism. If its ever going to happen English parties need to fully get to grips with the idea and campaign properly for it rather than seeing it as an abstract panacea for saving the union.
