Thank you Lib Dem for your unwavering support to the people in Hong Kong. The government should act NOW. It is Sino-BRITISH Joint Declaration. Not Sino-American. Where the hell is Boris Johnson?

there was a time when we would have been co-leading an international response to this. Truly diminished.

Sadly, I fear no external power is in a position to adequately respond to this. Trump's bluster will probably only strengthen China's determination. Does anyone have the moral standing and global influence to ralley anything but platitudes against the Chinese government?

Thank you for standing with
#HongKong. It is now one country, one system as opposed to one country, two systems which was guaranteed by the Basic Law.#CCP is trampling our#HumanRights.#HongKongNeedsHelppic.twitter.com/p0lcKxnxwV

What rubbish!!!! We had a policy of stopping Brexit by either holding a second referendum or revoking if our GE polling increased by roughly 40% - both sound like democratic processes to me. I don't remember any LibDems closing parliament or directing the military.

UK government should take action now. The situation is equal to the "Hong Kong Game Over".
