It's more dependant on the government actually buying the test kits and using them. Currently there are front line workers in hospitals STILL being refused testing. The WHO said weeks ago to test, test, test but the UK did nothing. Please don't put this on the public - again!

"Nothing"? Our laboratory staff are trying their very best to meet the demands of this pandemic. Testing has been done from the moment a test became available and testing capacity has and is being been cranked up.

For once I agree with you (Hurrah you say lol) but good look getting the Tories to accept their responsibilities. They ignored the outcome of exercise cygnus in 2016 so they wont own up or give real facts now as it just shows their incompetence is on a global scale.

I'd like to see information and not well worn clichés but alas I expect to be kept in the dark by UKGov that avoids scrutiny.

Compare number of tests actually undertaken by UK and Germany last week. Would help scotch the nonsenses peddled by Ministers about China being to blame for UK’s poor response. Both UK and Germany had the same information. But in different leagues for tests, PPE, & ventilators.

How many tests did the UK actually perform last week and how many did Germany undertake? Does the Health Minister know? Much easier to keep playing the ‘10,000 capacity’ card. And the ‘millions’ of PPE kit when we don’t know how many millions are needed.

Whilst I applaud the government's move to repatriate all citizens stranded abroad, I must ask what plans they have to test those returning, for Covid - 19 on arrival and before they disperse to all points of the country?
