I’d guess there probably are legitimate issues here and I’d like to know more, but a haircut seems like a really bad example. That’s just supply and demand, no? Most women don’t want a short back and sides for £12. And guys can pay just as much if going to a fancy salon.

I have hair less than an inch long - typical 'short back and sides' - I have to pay over £40 - the bloke in the chair next to me about £20 tops for the same haircut, in the same salon. I have never been able to understand how this is allowed
