Hi, why is this specific to women?
Far too many women are sent to prison on short sentences for non-violent offences.
Tough, community-based sentences would be far more effective at preventing reoffending, and helping offenders turn their lives around.

No matter the gender of the convict, they should receive a sentence that reflects what they did. If a women and a man acts out the same crime, one shouldn't be punished lighter because of their gender.
