Though I personally hoped to see Labour win, I think your complaints are childish. The Tories won because their party got the most votes. Simple. Tories: 43.6% Labour: 32.2% Lib Dems: 11.6% The 57% you reference is split between several parties, not one.

The crucial factor in all our GE's is #FPTP. Only once has a new party forced through - Labour, 100 years ago. Proportional representation should be the cornerstone of the fight @electoralreform

First past the post filters out low-support candidates and amplifies higher-support candidates. It is both a feature and a bug.
