    Just chaired a parliamentary event with , hearing from parents of disabled children about their experiences during Covid. Many families are isolated, anxious and unable to access support. They urgently need a dedicated recovery plan.

    The Covid public inquiry is very welcome and desperately needed so that the public can understand why the UK has suffered one of the highest death tolls in the world. The bereaved families must be given confidence in this inquiry. -

    BREAKING: the PM has just told me, he will start an independent inquiry into the Government’s handling of Covid, in this parliamentary session - ie in the next 12 months. We’ll hold him to account on behalf of our country’s bereaved families - so they can get answers & justice.
