    I’ve certainly had worse days at the office. Humbled to have been elected as Deputy Presiding Officer and really looking forward to working with and as part of the new PO team

    There isn't room in the socially-distanced Holyrood chamber for all the MSPs voting in the Presiding Officer election so they've had to set up desks in the public lobby. Giving MSPs direct experience of another thing that *looks* like a school exam, but apparently is not

    Hat tip to fellow Burrayman for taking the oath in Orcadian today. Sadly the formal oath doesn’t allow much scope to do justice to the richness of the Orcadian dialect. Even so... top effort, beuy

    The sort of forensic analysis that is so badly needed at a critical point when our nation’s fortunes hang in the balance

    Big day for Scots tomorrow. A critical choice. What will it bring? We need a huge turnout, key positions filled by the right people so we can be properly represented. Hoggy will be in at 15, of course, but as well as Finn and Hamish, imo Sutherland, Gray and Zander should go too.

    Green parties in Europe look at the Scottish Greens with disbelief. Indyref2 is priority #1, despite half their voters opposing it. It demonstrates Scottish Green dependence on crumbs from the SNP table. Nationalism is and always has been a barrier to tackling climate change.

    I like that actually has a policy priority. He was very clear on - mental health. Been his issue for years, and after this prolonged 2nd lockdown, this is the time to take it seriously in adult and paediatrics.
