They might rely on them, but a lot of them treat them with class contempt - and think of them as an interchangeable supply. Less-educated workers, IME, *more* likely to be sympathetic because they're closer to lived experience.
It depends on what kind of middle class they're. If they're less educated blue collar workers, maybe yes. Most better educated middle class relies on migrant works to be their cleaners, nannies and delivery people.
