Li, my friends there are appalled that I’d go shopping without a mask and when I tell them doctors and nurses barely have them... imagine. That kind of stuff is what makes me feel doomed.
Yes, it’s a shame that the US wasn’t better prepared. But as I mentioned to you in the past I have confidence in the resilience of your political system that once it realizes its mistake, it can put its acts together. At least you can get rid of the leaders who messed up...
