From the people in China whom I get to know quite well over the years, most don't really trust & can be quite cynical about what the CCP Govt say, though many think CCP is still the necessary evil for the country

Absolutely. Most Chinese people don’t believe in CCP. The real problem is they don’t have the courage and will to fight back.
