I think we can all argue it's important not to forget history. China argues this point when it comes to the atrocities of Japan during war time. We shouldn't forget or we may repeat. The same argument should be made for CCP atrocities of the 20th century.

You don't have to blame the current leaders but in order for them not to make the same mistakes history shouldn't be sanitised.
