If you take a deep look at the trade deficit number, not that significant to US neither to China’s GDP. Sounds controversial but the point is 1. Chinese understand China problem is beyond trade war 2. US is doing a servic to China by pushing its boundaries .

Talk about a herd mentality ! Not long ago retailing had a problem solving general manager , staff with incredible product knowledge as buyers and sales staff dedicated to one or two departments. Now it's box tickers I'm enmeshed in process.

Remember, the product is not made in China. It is assembled in China from imported components sourced from other parts of Asia. In any case the rise in Chinese wages will push out these jobs to other countries anyway. China is now developing China made and owned branded products.
