Right. Consider all the fraud related to the US debt bubble in 2008. We had GS bankers do all but admit to it sneeringly before Senate panel. Not one big fish was prosecuted whereas 1000 guys were in S&L crisis. There is a ton of political discretion applied all the time

The distorted nationalism and victim view are rooted in most of Chinese's bones and soul. It's not a political view or worldview, it's part of their culture that was shaped by
#communist controlled education. It does not matter if these elites want indp judiciary system or not.
