    3 One interesting moment when I wear the "user hat": During the workshop, I got automated feedback about my own learning behavior (e.g., I being "the quietest participant" in the room). My immediate reaction was "this is not correct and it is discouraging".

    Thoughts from my first human-centered design workshop: 1 Even with the intention to be "human-centered", it's still hard for researchers and designers to be open to the different needs and perceptions of instructors and students (we are not wearing their hats).

    A very timely review about Self-regulated Learning and LA in Online Learning Environments. Two takeaways: 1 validation of log measures of SRL is important and challenging and 2 we need to go beyond measurement to optimize SRL using LA.

    This is one way to look at it. But I often feel that when I apply—for a grant, job, or promotion—I am taking time and effort to reflect on, articulate, and develop my professional identity, and thus growing as a scholar and human being.
