I haven’t watched his content, I haven’t searched for his channel, I’m not subbed to him or any channels like him, so why is he being recommended to me so often? This can’t be him paying for ads, because I have premium, so I shouldn’t be seeing ads, so what is it? @TeamYouTube

So, either YouTube is serving covert ads to premium users, the algorithm is so broken that it is ignoring the preferences of users to push content on them that has no relation to their tastes, or Robinson is using misleading metadata, which is against the TOS. Which is it?

I’ve just looked and it doesn’t appear that Robinson is using misleading tags (although there is video content there that is arguably against the TOS, but that’s another matter), so either he is paying for placement, or the algorithm is busted.

I really don’t think it is the algorithm though, because it works just fine for other channels and content. Robinson is the only channel that keeps being recommended to me, no matter how many times I click “not interested”

By the way, using his logic, my snooping and “investigating” mean I’m now a journalist, so I demand that y’all pay me for the content of my tweets and give me press accesspic.twitter.com/3CIEa5zMNE

Yep, I noticed this too. I have never watched or clicked and of his videos...EVER! And never will. There were 3 TR videos suggested to me yesterday

It’s getting very suspicious for me now, because I’ve seen lots of people saying the same. The “not interested” feature has always worked for much bigger channels, like Logan Paul and Shane Dawson, so why isn’t it working as designed for Robinson?
