I’m all for showing mercy to some non-violent offenders, first time non-violent offenders, erasing cannabis convictions, all that. But his lack of prosecutions for violent offenders, and ignoring the victims, is beyond the pale. When is enough, enough?

I think it all starts at the top, you know? Chesa isn't going to prosecute petty theft at Walgreen for example, yeah? Those can and will be dramatically curbed once we find a place for these people to stay, to get sober, etc..

Your solution to fix things can’t always be to give people something. Giving the homeless housing doesn’t encourage them to work and get out of housing, it encourages them to continue living how they are.

Absolutely, but it’s a lot harder to get clean without some stability, like housing.
