I'm in CT. I'd like us to switch from Eastern to Atlantic Time Zone and then never do Daylight Saving Time. We'd be the same as Eastern for 8 months of the year and one hour ahead in winter when they switch back to standard. I'm a little obsessed w this plan.

The US got rid of it back in 1974, as a 2 year trial. It was so unpopular (in December the sun didn't come up until about 9am in 1/3 of states) that Congress repealed it after 8 months with a nearly unanimous vote. I don't like losing an hour but...pic.twitter.com/WnAcLa2hMW
