Even that era used the same beats lolol. Things will always come in full circle.
Same drum patterns just like in today’s day and age... the producers back then didn’t even know how to play instruments they sampled every thing.. nowadays you gotta at least know the basics of music theory to make a beat.. but i agree some of the music back then was great.

More producers back then knew how to play instruments vs now, most producers back then was already musical trained on atleast one instrument if not multiple

Rza, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Swizz, Kanye, didn’t play instruments they were masters at sampling and MPC users. The only ones who played instruments were scott storch, Pharrell, and justice league.

Idk... the producers from back in the day were way more creative than the ones of today. & I’d say the recent examples of sampling are way more apparent and lazy than they used to be.

Nah you tripping because even sampling takes just as much skill as playing an instrument to execute correctly and to sound good. Gotta respect both. And drum patterns were definitely not all the same back then
