A2: I've only experienced the trail in St. Louis but since some quick research shows me that it starts in Pittsburgh, I now have another weekend exploration option!

Ahhh...glad you brought that up. The Trail was just extended to Pittsburgh by Congress last month! So it went from 3,700 miles to 4,900 miles overnight! So much more to see now. #parkchat

Martin Plamondon assembled a three-volume series of trail maps several years ago, but it's the actual trail from the journals and other evidence. Maybe NatGeo or Falcon?
