A2. I've visited some of the sites, read bits of journals. My goal is to drive their route from beginning to end, stopping at historic sites along the way.

Or for those more tech-savvy and interested parties you can also use our interactive online atlas, search various sites, and apply layers here! https://www.nps.gov/lecl/planyourvisit/maps.htm …

What a great site - it's now Lewis and Clark National Historical Park and it also incorporates nearby state parks to tell a more comprehensive history.

A2: I've only experienced the trail in St. Louis but since some quick research shows me that it starts in Pittsburgh, I now have another weekend exploration option!
#parkchat -
Ahhh...glad you brought that up. The Trail was just extended to Pittsburgh by Congress last month! So it went from 3,700 miles to 4,900 miles overnight! So much more to see now.

A2. In 2005, I made the
@LewisClarkTrail the ultimate road trip, taking along a copy of the Journals to read along the way. We did their three year journey in three weeks, but it was still incredible.#ParkChat -

@SantaFeTrail1 - maybe completing@LewisClarkTrail will be next - North and South Dakota are the last contiguous US states we need to visit!#ParkChatpic.twitter.com/HuOSB2rluP
