I feel like colouring is my weakness. It is also much more fun to shade with just a pencil. 
Unsure if I should keep going this route or try something else, maybe colour pencil brush?

When I draw with pencil it feels natural and I don't have to think about the shading and I can do other things at the same time and enjoy my work. With painting I have to think in many layers and it takes away from my enjoyment.
Maybe if I tried one layer painting? 
Pencil art can be anazing too! Id say look into what you enjoy doing x3 do more pencil if you enjoy that :3
So far it’s looking good! Maybe continue with this and make another layer for a different style and see which you like more
