Random thought I had the other day: is being a chef what aspies could do before engineering was a thing? It involves concrete, detailed obsession with the physical world, and your success is judged by your output rather than by your social skills.
It's a good thought, but in olden times cooking for the family was done by the wife not the husband and if you had to run a big restaurant with lots of , you need some social skills I think.
