Hello & welcome to all our new followers. Here’s a bit about us & what we’ve accomplished. When our campaign began in 2012, signs for ‘Boys’ Toys’ & ‘Girls’ Toys’ had become commonplace in the UK. We wanted to change that and we have! See the evolution of signs below! 1/

Was so proud of my 6 yr old yesterday. His 4 yr old brothers declared dollhouses were for girls and he told them in no uncertain terms that was wrong and he really liked playing with them too. Dollhouses are for everyone! Loved the neutral he had!

  4. Although these sets aren’t specifically labelled for girls or for boys, other signposting like this indicates who the intended user is for each set.

Only 3 Marvel female superheroes in a pack of 30 cards. Representation matters, particularly for young kids growing up. My daughter might not *actually* become a superhero, but gender stereotypes shouldn't limit her goals. Do better.

Whether pinkification is your thing or not, excellent unboxing thread of a pinkified chemistry set for kids. My vote is for (ie pinkification 🚮) and, as highlighted in the thread, at least make it good (this product was not inspiring).

Overheard in Target. Little girl, probably 6/7 years old, clutching an Anakin lightsaber in her hands. Mom: Don’t you want to buy some fun kitchen toys? Girl: No, I want to defend the galaxy! Mom: Look at this pink stuff! Girl: You’re making me go to the Dark Side!
