Guess who's behind the Boudin recall? Some GOP donors, the Chamber of Commerce, Big Real Estate and Tech .... here's the rundown @chesaboudinhttps://48hills.org/2021/07/the-big-gop-real-estate-and-tech-money-behind-the-boudin-recall-effort/ …

Replying to @48hills @chesaboudin
From the guy who got elected using the money of an Hungarian born billionaire: George Soros. That’s rich.

This is a myth. George Sorros might've given some $$$ but many regular people gave money to Chesa's campaign to counter the POA's 700,000!

But then don’t scream bloody murder when you also accept $$ from out of town billionaires. If you accept to be a puppet, accept that the others are ok to be to

Who's the puppet? Have you looked at the actual break down of all Chesa's contributions pre-election & post? You're just following the right wing, cabal believing sheep who claim George Soros is controlling all the progressive candidates/politicians & it's a lie.

Would you believe the LA times which endorsed Obama, Clinton and Biden ?https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.latimes.com/local/california/la-me-prosecutor-campaign-20180523-story.html%3f_amp=true …

Sorry, can't read it--paywall. & I think Sorros should fund the campaigns of those, incl. public defenders whose policies & procedures he believes in. If I were wealthy, I'd give a shit ton to the anti-recall movements & other progressive politicians. It's long past time 4 change

I disagree with that: « we, the people » , not a couple of billionaires or special interest groups playing their own games. I am in favor of limiting any campaign to a certain amount of money.

Yes, but until we somehow overturn Citizens United, progressive candidates have to compete w/corporate wealth donors. I believe Chesa & Gascon both believe DA's should not accept $$$ from POAs due to conflict of interest.https://www.ktvu.com/news/sf-da-chesa-boudin-george-gascon-others-start-reform-focused-prosecutors-group …

“No one will really understand politics until they understand that politicians are not trying to solve our problems. They are trying to solve their own problems -- of which getting elected and re-elected are No. 1 and No. 2. Whatever is No. 3 is far behind". —Thomas Sowell

That's not true with DA Boudin. He is trying to solve the city's problems in a way they've never been dealt with before & people want to recall him. If he only cared about getting re-elected, he wouldn't be taking such bold measures.
