    I see a woman, who because of her race, colour and community, was expected to think, live, speak and vote in a certain way. She broke their chains and began a movement for the freedom of her people. I can certainly relate to that. Happy Birthday.

    I've never understood why anyone would need a late-term abortion to "save the mother's life." Just induce labor or perform a c-section and give the child up for adoption to a family who will love and raise it as their own. Why is killing the baby better?

    That synagogue in California was apparently attended by some incredibly courageous people. A woman was killed while trying to shield her rabbi from the bullets. A man chased the gunman out of the building. Another man fired on the gunman's vehicle. Just remarkable.
