A lot of people are going "WOOHOO NO MORE WEIRD BABY SHARK VIDS XD", but no. "Popular children’s programming or animated characters." means if you have Mario, Sonic, Spongebob, PaRappa, you name it,,, you fall under kids content and these rules will apply to you. This is BIG.

No, people who spend hours pouring hard work into their content such as animators and other cool people. This likely wouldn't even apply to those Reddit post channels.

"Family friendly" and "aimed towards kids" is not really the same tho

While true, they certainly seem to be bunching them into the same category.pic.twitter.com/d3xHsmQv9Y

Apologies if I came off that way, I really didn't mean to. I'm just as stoked for Sans as you all are.

To clarify, this will not apply to every video that's family friendly–instead, this applies to a video whose intended/target audience is kids specifically (ie the video is "made for kids"). See D1 of FTC's FAQs for how they define child directed content:https://ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/complying-coppa-frequently-asked-questions …

It defines child directed as content with "animated characters". That's far too broad of a term. Animation is a medium and for people of all ages. I'm not aiming specifically at children, I'm just trying to make fun cartoons for all to enjoy. Please think of other solutions.
