Christ, some of this is SO silly, and honestly promotes far too much paranoia in a relationship ._. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42660629 …
I do heart emojis all the time for everyone, whether it's in messages, tweets, posts, or texts. Does this make me a micro-cheater with everyone??

I think the final tweet in it sums it up best, but honestly I think overall it's quite a harmful term that just promotes overly-protective/controlling relationships. Like, how is being "emotionally or physically focused on someone outside their relationship" cheating?!

Like, I'm p. sure it's okay to care about other people besides your SO? Is it frowned upon to care about my close friends??

But then she also gives "saving someone in your phone contacts under a different name" as another example, which I feel like is A MUCH bigger deal than the other examples she gave ._.

Like, if Edd shows great caring for someone besides me I'm like "great, it's healthy to have lots of wholesome friendships with people you care about" but if he saved one of them in his phone as someone else so I wouldn't know it was them then THAT'S obviously a big issue.

Confirmed, this article is ridiculous
Screw the term 'microcheating', you're either cheating or you're not. The severity of broken trust depends entirely on your relationship, not on additions to the word like 'micro'.4 replies 1 retweet 12 likesShow this thread
