I still sort of feel like playing it at all, and giving the game more publicity, is a bad thing regardless. Even if you don't pay for it, and speak out against JKR, the advertisement from streamers playing a game often leads to more people buying that game. But, I do get it

HP means a lot to people, and the game looks good and people who are not JKR worked hard on it. I won't begrudge people who can't resist playing it, even if I'd prefer they didn't. And let's face it, it's going to sell like crazy regardless. I appreciate you speaking out Leo.

To me this seems like a self justification, why not do the charity stream and play games made by or in support of LGBTQ+ people instead? If you must play the game why not do so off stream. It's good to have this discussion and i will continue to support your channel either way.

This is admirable. Do not get caught up in others' cancel culture bullshit, it's just never effective. Instead, use your voice to speak out and raise awareness. That accomplishes much more than being silent while hoping you're still heard, somehow.

Exactly this. Rowling is a multi millionaire, boycotting the game doesn't impact her in anyway. She probably couldn't care less. Instead a boycott hurts the people who worked their assess off making this game for years, who aren't transphobic and who don't support her views.
