I would but I have a lazy and wonky eye so I'm at a disadvantage here
so do i, in both eyes!! not kidding! i can swap between them 
they said i could never get lasik sadly but contacts are easy and fun!

My aunt had laser eye sugery about 10 years ago and you do need at least a week (2 weeks maybe) for it to recover and function properly anyway.
I think the thought of touching my eyes constantly does put me off contacts though, my sister wears them though. -
