Its based off of a book series, the film with Chris Evans touches on some of the plot points but it gets really fleshes out a bit in the series. Definitely both good viewing though!!

Was snowpiercer good then? I wasn't sure if it would be able to top the film

I was sceptical when a friend told me about it, but watching I'd say it's almost better than the film, perhaps because it gets to explore the concepts and setting way more than the film. The acting is also pretty spot on.
