this morning the postman put my parcel in my wheelie bin, rang the doorbell & then ran away :)

Same as what William put. I work for royal mail and we have been told to place items down and step back after knocking. Just putting it straight in the bin AND signing for it themselves is against both the rules and guidelines we've been set.
i apologise if this came across disrespectful to the post force, i respect how hard you guys have been working during the pandemic as the post couldn't stop! 
i was just shocked that it was in my bin without being marked as in a safe place & also signed for! (DPD!)

No no no it didn't come across that way at all! I work with enough people who have the same "care" s your postie and give me a bad name. When I was off work my postman did the same, little did they know it was also bin day. Lucky it wasnt expensive...
