It’s not a matter of being nice, it’s a matter of actually understanding there is a real crisis going on, but good on ya. I’m still trying to cancel a 5 day trip to L.A.
this was the hotel refunding me not the airline, i requested a refund but fully didn't expect to get one! it's truly out of the good of their hearts that they gave my money back :) their business must be really suffering! good luck on your cancellation

If you have travel insurance they generally cover cancellation of trips when there is official travel advice against going. At least here in Norway, they are now covering expenses for all trips abroad, since the government has official travel advice against travel
