Its 100% essential!! If you’re trying to improve your work and you’re NOT doing this then you won’t get anywhere! Drawing from reference is so important in honing your craft!
i copied (by looking! would never trace!!!) official poses to learn as i never had any formal training or anything!!! but i would never sell these or claim as my own tf?!?!?
who literally sells/sold traced pins/art? smh

Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know what the hell theyre talking about and obviously has never studied fine art. no one is a master and can draw everything perfectly from memory

this makes me feel a lot better! someone i know asked me "where did you copy this from?" the other day and i've been a bit upset since
i was like "my camera...?" practice makes perfect!
