I think obviously copying them as practice is comepltely fine, as long as you make that publicly clear!
i copied (by looking! would never trace!!!) official poses to learn as i never had any formal training or anything!!! but i would never sell these or claim as my own tf?!?!?i don't think i would have gotten into art without copying! i always give that advice too when people ask me how to get into it, i'm still very new also

I totally agree with you, you can’t improve without first doing study of other artwork. On the other hand posting it publicly implying that it’s your own artwork is unprofessional -
