The one I stay at has its beds in a pod of sorts. You can pull a shade at the end of the bed and close yourself off, but I understand they aren't for everyone.
it sounds lovely! i wish it could be for me! i'm just not comfortable unless it's a room all by myself :D i found somewhere that's not much more expensive and i'm happy paying a little extra to feel more comfortable!
If you plan on most of your within the center of the city, make sure to get the subway passes. Well worth it if you only take Tokyo Metro or the Toei Subway.
