      Can't wait to see Wartortle: - Its tail is large and covered with a rich, thick fur. The tail becomes increasingly deeper in color as WARTORTLE ages.

          I think they made them like this so it would fit more into a real world concept. Like how skin and bone structure would work if it makes sense. I understand your concerns though :)
