Oh I know how you feel, once you start buying one thing it rolls into sooo much more, But being creative is so calming! I totally agree it's so much better with those markers. Your art looks like a watercolour painting! No streaks or fading like you'd get from those felt tips.
these are my first (second-hand!) alcohol markers and I've fallen in love; so much less streaky than felt tips!

I recommend those frameless acrylic (non glass) clip frames like the ones used for certificates but bigger, those would look nice.
