Sorry but I've had you beat there for ages. Talk again once you've come back to the church.

This wasn't a doctrinal evolution. It was a new covenant being issued by Jesus himself. A fulfilment of the law, if you will. Which speaking of it, as a new high priest in the order of Melchizedek, Jesus did away with priestly systems like the one your church instituted.
-
one teaching evolved into another. Teaching = Doctrine.
-
It didn't evolve it was supplanted with a completely new system. One without priests by the way.
-
It evolved.
-
Then why are only some condsidered priests in cc when the new system says we are all as believers a holy priesthood?
-
Because what you are citing is irrelevant
-
It's because you're an inconsistent papist
-
It's because I follow the teachings of the apostles

Not, of course that we are people of the book but the book does document precedence.
-
You keep bringing up people of the book issue but I think your committing the fallacy of equivocation.
-
You are better able to discuss christianity when you understand the foundation of christianity.
-
I know this full well: "Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit."--Eph. 2:19-22.
-
"You are Rock and upon this Rock..." How did we come to believe that Ephesians was inspired? We are not a people of the book
-
But you just quoted the book!
-
I know. But our faith does not revolve around what is in the book
-
But you just quoted the book
