    It must feel really great to sit in a meeting with other university managers and come up with hard-nosed and instantly gratifying pronouncements like this. So much more satisfying than teaching and research

    I teach a course on apocalypse that aims to Historicise contemporary climate crisis. I am unsure how to process the fact that responses to the conditions in Australia are referencing apocalypse. I think this is somewhat contradicts recent article. /2

    The impacts of climate breakdown would be much less harmful if we had collective, rather than individualistic, societies. And the worst impacts of climate breakdown would likely be averted cos there would be no super rich who depend on current systems of energy use.
