I watch this video dozens of times. It appears as though this injured man was in the distance originally near where the explosions went off. He may have had an explosive or a firework detonate in his hand.

I'm not saying that. I've seen plenty of videos of them beating and unarmed citizens with batons and shooting them with rubber bullets. I just made the observation that this man's hand got partially blown off and I don't french cops have used anything there that would do that.

They use a kind of grenade without a shell around it. Multiple people have lost a limb/foot/hand because of it already. Witnesses of this event said that such a grenade was thrown at this man too.

I wonder if that is some type of grenade that is designed to send multiple rubber bullet type of projectiles in different directions. If so and if it went off in close proximity to somebody it could do that kind of damage.

There is at least one report that he picked it up off the ground to throw it back at the police, and it blew up in his hand. If that report is true, blame him for his stupidity, not the police for trying to stop rioting.

How else would they control the rioters? Asking them nicely not to riot wasn’t working so they used less than lethal devices to control the chaos.

yes, i looked at it a few times now - there are many things not consistent with a real event. He went straight for the camera also. lol normally people would be in a panic and walk in circles.
